Noah Chamberlain

It’s very exciting that Mohamed is running for the Chancellorship of the university.

During his time at Queen’s, he’s been a real stalwart of the community—enthusiastic on all levels: in meetings, in day-to-day conversations and in the way he supports those around him.

As a former undergraduate of Queen’s himself, I think he genuinely cares about our wellbeing—spending time with students, engaging with us on the issues that matter, listening and always trying to help get problems solved.

Often on a bleak Saturday morning, we’ll be out on the football or rugby pitch, and we’ll glance to the sideline and Mohammed will be there—the sole supporter on the touchline, cheering us on, come rain or shine.

It’s a rare, quiet kind of dedication—the sort that only really comes from genuine care, not obligation.

I’m really happy he’s running. His work at Queen’s shows that his commitment to the role of Chancellor comes from a tangible place: a willingness to put in the time, to show up and to genuinely care.

I have great confidence in his ability to support the university, both here in Cambridge and beyond.

I wish him the very best of luck.
