Emily Maitlis
I have got to know Mohamed over recent years and have been deeply impressed by all that I have seen.
His academic brilliance is well known - but it has always been coupled with something which - to my mind - was equally vital: a real understanding of the human soul.
Whether with students, colleagues, or the wider public I have admired his genuine curiosity for the welfare of others.
He brings clarity to complex problems. And he brings humanity to the solutions for them.
He has been a huge asset to Queens’ - and the university as a whole would be beyond lucky to have him at its helm.
